While he was gone Danette and I started out serious workout regime! (hell yes) And we're doing great so far. We're both using MyFitness Pal, working out 5 days a week, and sharing workout plans and healthy recipes. I even got my first heart rate monitor in the mail a few days ago. It works great! I've only used it on two workouts so far since I just got it but, I love it. It's nice because it caters to me personally and allows me to keep track of everything (heart rate, calories, workout time, totals) despite where and what type of workout I do. We're super determined this time :D
yay POLAR! |
Also, Danette and I found out that Globus (a supermarket-better-than-walmart place in Idar-Oberstein) has a GREAT wine section! We did a few girls nights while the guys were gone (wine nights, chinese food nights). Danette even introduced me to Dirty Dancing, pretty sad I'd never watched it. One night Katie, Will, and Jesse came over and I was even introduced to RuPaul's Drag Race.
I bought six and she bought six. We love wine. |

In addition to life itself- work at ACS is going good. I'm updating their website, you should check it out, [Baumholder ACS], making calendars and flyers. I also was introduced to a lot more people this past week and will be assisting each of their advertising strategies within their programs. I'm excited to be getting a lot more involvement and responsibility. I might even try to take on another volunteer position with a group here on post, The Baumholder Community Spouses Club (BCSC) as their marketing/publicity chairperson. I think that taking on both positions will keep me busy and really help me build up good skills and connections for my resume! I'll definitely keep you posted on the volunteer-work front.
ALSO! Last week I started food prepping. Rob and I did it again this week to. Sauteed peppers and onions, zuccini squash and onion, cut and prepped potato bites, chicken salad, chicken breasts, pork roast, celery (for ants on a log), hard boiled eggs, and lettuce. So much food prepping!! :D

Later bloggy readers.
Will you be documenting while you are in Spain? Your and danette seem to really be serious about the workouts. Great. And I know it will be a challenge in Spain but yesterday we talked about more waking, etc. You will be fine. Same here today. I'm just catching up on reading. Will talk later. Special hugs to you and Rob. Love, G'ma
ReplyDeleteI'm hoping to be able to post while I'm there but I'm not sure how difficult it will be since I'm not sure if I'm going to bring my laptop or not. Hopefully it work though!!
