Back in Germany....

So since I'm trying to finish up the posts about the trip (still) I figured I should keep up and post about being back. If not this is just gonna be one spiral of me always catching up. [no fun]

ANYWAYS.

My flight home was super early on Sunday the 15th. I had to be at the airport at 4am and it left at 610 [again, no fun]. The only perk here was that I landed in Germany super early at like 845 and I'd have the whole day left ;D

Germany is so pretty!
These are from our ride home from the airport
Once we got back we cleaned up the house and ran some errands. Then we stopped to get some groceries. Our house was in major need of a deep cleaning and some groceries. Rob's definition of clean just isn't the same as mine lol. While I was gone Rob ordered me birthday gifts and one came while I was gone. He let me open it.

He ordered a scratch-off world map for us. Now we just gotta
buy a frame for it and get scratchin :D
BUT after all that we relaxed and made a DELICIOUS dinner.

I missed steak. Dinner was so yummy.
And of course, the Kaela bear missed me. She was in super cuddle mode.

Rob didn't have to work really on Monday since it was a German holiday so we went in the afternoon to Ramstein to snag a couple things. One of Rob's friends came with us and we all snagged a late lunch at Macaroni Grill.

yummy lunch specials. a lil Caesar salad and a dried red tomato pasta.
On the other days last week we didn't do too much. Rob was really busy packing for the deployment and getting things ready to go at work. Since he's leaving soon, my boss at ACS said I don't have to come in until he leaves. That was super nice of her- I wanna be able to spend as much time with him as I can before he leaves.

Friday we all got together around 1pm for a going-away BBQ celebration.

Lots of people ended up coming. Cynthia always knows how to host
great events. Plus there was SO MUCH yummy food.
and a bounce house

And then, after the alcohol was flowing the adults decided it was their turn in the bounce house.

I love this picture of Rob. He looks so dang happy.
oh and yeah osting is just huge.
We all had a great time at the BBQ, as always. Afterwards, since I was day-drunk and tired, I took a nap before we went to the knot for a bit. We didn't stay out too long since I was super tired the rest of the night.

Saturday we organized the WHOLE basement (finally) and it looks amazing.

The space is actually useable now [YAY]!! It's all cleared up and organized. We've been meaning to get that done and really wanted to get it done before he leaves. It even only took a few hours.

Afterwards we made dinner at home and then headed back to the knot again to watch the Germany soccer game. It ended up being a tie but it was fun. A bunch of other people were out so it was a fun night.

Sunday we relaxed and made ribs at home. Rob invited two friends over for dinner and I worked on a few craft projects around the house.

Amazing dinner. Again.
Yesterday, Monday, school started for me again. I'm taking two more online classes this summer. Super fast paced and busy but I gotta go what a graduating girl has to do. :D Next we'll see what this week has to offer.

  2. Try again. Your BBQ looks like a lot of fun. Smart to cram in a nap. Keeps one from falling flat. I like the pictures of Rob too and agree he looks like he is having a lot of fun. Your apartment looks like you have plenty of room but probably keeping it organized makes it look bigger. Hugs to you both, G'ma
